As mandated by Congress, the White House provided an interim report on Iraq progress. This is the half-way report before the report on the effacacy of "the surge."
The Iraqi government is making satisfactory progress on only 8 of 18 metrics.
Ok.
So, Pelosi gets the House to quickly pass a bill, even thought it's doomed to veto should it have any chance of passage in the Senate. I guess that's the equivalent of a non-binding hissy fit. Read:
Then, Senator Boxer tosses out the specter of impeachment for the umpteenth time, in a show of force to prove that the Senate also knows how to throw a non-binding tantrum.
So, I'm left to deduce that since the Senate and House; specifically the Democrats, but not to exclude the Republicans have failed at, or are not making significant progress on anything from Iraq to Immigation to Border Security, that they all must immediately resign and the good citizens of the US ought to demand a complete pullout from Washington DC regardless of what mess it leaves behind.
