Those little blue flecks on your face are shrinking.

Illinois broke for Kerry by .5 million votes. Although quite a bit more than the "contested" Ohio or Pennsylvania; you're making ground every election cycle.
I'm proud to see my old hometown county of McLean has stayed red.
This little puke makes me want to, well, puke.
Why Americans Hate Democrats - A Dialogue
First, the pretense that Slate asked "Wise Liberals" is bogus. Read the article and you'll find that the author believes ALL liberals are wise and it's the dumb conservatives that are causing all the problems because their greedy, evil, god-fearing, manipulative, dumb, sheeple. Really, try and draw that picture; how can one be so many things at the same time.
Pussy liberals crybabying over who's fault it is they lost the election. Instead of trying to figure out why their ideas don't resonate with the majority of the population they assume their ideas are right so it must be the people that don't understand....somehow the fault is always with someone else, corporations, or just about anything to devoid themselves of personal responsibility.
Russia just signed onto the Kyoto Protocol, ensuring it's implementation. Without the US vote, it was dead unless Russia revived it.
Before you get all excited about how clean this is going to make everything; take a look at the EPA.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words...

The deafening silence from al Qaeda, other than a couple perps with a betamax, in the runup to the US elections speaks volumes.
Yes, we are safer than we were, yet not fully safe.
Yes, killing *them* "over there" is an effective plan.
Yes, the virus of democracy spreading over the world makes us safer every day.
Brought to you by the United States.
Bush Bush Bush Bush!
Michael Moore...eat it. All you suckers that said you were going to leave the country if Bush won...this is your first boarding call.
You heard it hear first.
After the dust clears, I predict that the "rock the vote" and "vote or die" will be a complete bust. The young voter turnout will be abysmal. Probably a good thing that the MTV generation won't be a force in the direction of the nation.
I think you're also going to find that "exit polling" will be debunked as well.
The major pollsters? Probably will be in the unemployment line. They spend so much time making the race out to be close to make themselves and their trade seem more important, they're painting themselves into a position where they don't provide any value. Hell, you could ask anyone from now on and they'll tell you it'll be close.
Finally, the democrats have been gerrymandering oddball shaped districts that seem powerful for some time now. I think they're going to find out that it wasn't a successful strategy in the long run. They'd have been smarter to include a larger number of republicans in their districts, but not so much as to change the face of the district, thereby pulling numbers out of other districts and making them smaller. Of course, they'll have found this out too late as the republicans are going to be the ones redrawing the district maps...hoped they learned from the democrat mistakes.
it's about time people started respecting their vote...now, if we can just get people to be educated about the issues, then we'd be doing something...

i was sad to see our old mechanical voting booths go the way of the dinosaur this election. we've now got the scantron...kinda aniseptic to me. the old machines with all the levers and gears made you feel like you were doing something more.

Kerry wound up his two-year quest for the presidency with an 18-hour marathon that took him from Florida in the south to Wisconsin in the upper Midwest. "This is you chance to hold George Bush accountable," he told supporters as he crisscrossed the battleground states. "The hopes of our country are on the line ... and the world is watching."
Let's set one thing straight. I don't give a flying fuck who, outside the borders of the United States, is watching. This election isn't for *them*. If they're so hot for elections, maybe they ought to consider their own democratically elected government...oh wait, sorry; didn't mean to make fun of those living under thumbs of dictators or socialist regimes.
Some Californians vow to move to Canada if Kerry loses
We'd be much appreciative. It'd make Cali easier to turn to a red state later.
Really, how childish can you get? Really.
