In light of the "staged" protests in DC recently...for and against the "war", I give you this...
Brian: Are you the Judean People's Front?
Reg: Fuck off.
Brian: What?
Reg: Judean People's Front. We're the People's Front of Judea. Judean People's front, caw.
Francis: Wankers.
Brian: Can I join your group?
Reg: No. Piss off.
Brian: I didn't want to sell this stuff. It's only a job. I hate the Romans as much as anybody.
PFJ: Sssh. Ssssh, sssh, sssh, ssssh
Judith: Are you sure?
Brian: Oh. Dead sure... I hate the Romans already.
Reg: Listen. If you really wanted to join the PFJ, you'd have to really hate the Romans.
Brian: I do.
Reg: Oh yeah? How much?
Brian: A lot!
Reg: Right. You're in. Listen. The only people we hate more than the Romans are the fucking Judean People's Front.
PFJ: Yeah
Judith: Splitters.
Francis: And the Judean Popular Peoples Front.
PFJ: Oh yeah. Splitters.
Loretta: And the peoples Front of Judea.
PFJ: Splitters.
Reg: What?
Loretta: The Peoples front of Judea. Splitters.
Reg: We're the Peoples front of Judea.
Loretta: Oh. I thought we were the Popular Front.
Reg: Peoples Front.
Francis: Whatever happened to the Popular Front, Reg?
Reg: He's over there.
If I see one more "protest" that's nothing more than a bunch of separate groups, with separate agendas, standing around together and the main stream media calls it a protest against the war or whatever, I'm going to scrub my eyes with a wire brush and a combination of Johnny Walker Red and Comet.
I'm reserving this place on my blog to remind myself to post my rant on 9/11 this year.
I'll get around to it soon.
The MSM reports today that Bush's poll numbers sunk to their lowest point in his presidency. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9332076/
Strange, Gallup reports the opposite:
GALLUP POLL RESULTS IGNORED BY THE MEDIACRATS:
Initial Response (total good)
44% (good) George W Bush
39% (good) Residents of New Orleans
38% (good) State and local officials in Louisiana
36% (good) FEMA/federal agencies
NOTE: The President's INITIAL response to Katrina was rated higher than ANY of the other options -- Does anyone remember reading this anywhere . . . nuf said?!
Recent Response (total good)
58% (good) George W Bush
59% (good) Residents of New Orleans
57% (good) State and local officials in LA
56% (good) FEMA/federal agencies
Federal Government:
Despite the Mediacrats best efforts, Gallup discovered that 60% of repondents still had confidence in the federal government's ability to handle natural disasters and 63% had confidence in the government's ability to handle terrorist attacks.
The President's Job Approval:
46% approve
[UP from last week's 45% and last month's 40% . . . similar to Rasmussen's 47% approval (50%/likely voters)and certainly much higher than the BOGUS ratings recently published by AP, Newsweek and ABCNews/WashPost]
The Blame Game:
49% of Americans say the media are spending too much time trying to affix blame
48% say the same about Democrat leaders in Congress
31% say the same about Republican leaders in Congress
[Not all Americans are brain dead sheeple!]
Abnormal for me to post such a picture; but what the heck...I found it funny.

As captioned by Stacey:
Reporter: What do you think about Roe vs. Wade?
Bush: I don't care how they get out of New Orleans.
One of our preferrred vendors, DirectNIC is based in downtown NOLA and they're bustin ass to keep it running.

So....
These two SBC phone sales-dorks wander into my office today to tell me how SBC has lowered their prices and they're just out to get the word out to customers. This is how it went:
Sales Dork 1: ...SBC has lowered it's business pricing and we've heard some complaints that people didn't know about it so we're out here to let people know about the new rate structure
Me: Sorry, I don't use any SBC services.
Sales Dork 2: Yeah? Who you cheating on us with?
Me: Stern frown THAT was the wrong attitude here. You gotta go.
Sales Dork 2: That's the wrong attitude?
Sales Dork 1: If you buying services from resellers they are reselling SBC services...
Me: You gotta go now. I don't use ANY SBC services at all, nor will I at this point. I walk them to the door
Sales Dork X: prattling on about something or other as I close the door on them
That pretty much sums up my feelings of SBC and their attitude toward their current, past, and future customers. If I hadn't already done so, I would have immediately gone home and ripped the phone out of the wall; but since this is a pattern of behavior I had done that long before.
Oh yeah, the sales-dorks were young kids with cheap suits; probably just got them this morning at JC Penneys. One looked like he just got off the buss from a month-long Phish concert.
So here I sit, thinking about my customer base and how many lines of voice/data I'm going to pull from SBC this month.
