As most of my friends and family know by now, my wife and I have recently learned that we will be having our first child in late September!!! What an amazing thing this is, and it hasn't even happened yet. Several times I have wept with joy at the idea that where before there was nothing, there now is a new life! I cannot wait to hold my child's hand, to teach them of the world, to help them grow and experience life. It is a humbling and daunting task, but a journey that I feel I cannot wait to begin.
Here is a closeup of an ultrasound picture of our baby, who we've affectionately nicknamed 'Peanut', 3 weeks ago which was around 8-9 weeks of the pregnancy. It's a little difficult to make out, but Peanut is facing toward you, the head and arms at the top...

And here is the full ultrasound picture....

Won't be long before you ditch the whole agnostic thing. A beer says that line of thinking won't last past September, if that far.
You saw me at our daughter's baptism... this is a gift not from either of you but a gift to both of you from God. Every time you realize that, it's enormously humbling.
I dunno, I suppose the best thing I ever have done or will do is have a child...kinda puts all the other bullshit of life into perspective.
